Michael Gibbs, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer and Founder, brings the practical, world-view of business and education skills needed for students to compete globally. He has more than 30 years experience working in the education industry as well as in Fortune 500 companies, such as General Electric, and Texas Instruments. He has taught thousands of executives in 22 countries for the MBA program at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley.

Peggy Gibbs, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Founder, has been a senior executive for highly regarded non-profits for more than 25 years. Her work includes creating, managing and establishing strategic partnerships and support for cutting edge social enterprise education, arts, health and technology solutions. Her work with school districts has brought engaging education programs to many students, parents and teachers throughout the Bay Area. Most recently, she was vice president of business development, for the award-winning, social enterprise company, Benetech. She serves on the board of University of the Pacific’s, School of International Studies.

The Gibbs are also the founders of Scientia Schools, Inc. an innovative model of national, independent high schools. Their vision is to equip students to thrive in the 21st Century to become essential citizens and leaders ready to take on future challenges and opportunities with passion, preparation and courage.
