Your challenge is to use ZEPP Labs motion sensor technology, including: accelerometers, gyros, pressure sensors, GPS, heart rate, etc. to develop a wearable device monitored by a smartphone / tablet app to help prevent injury and keep athletes in the sports/games they love. Choose a sport and identify a common injury that is causing athletes a significant loss in participation time. Using ZEPP Labs technology design a wearable device to lower teen injuries in that sport. The design of the device should:

• Improve balance, strength, coordination, and/or specific skills in the sport.
• Be comfortable and provide accurate data.
• Address conditioning and proper body mechanics.
• Capture all data from the device and send it wirelessly to the app.
• Have an application that works seamlessly with the hardware providing critical data.
• Turn the app into a game that helps make using it FUN and SOCIAL.

Focus on extremity injuries and product solutions for arms, legs, knees and shoulders (i.e. not head injuries)

• Meets all federal and state health and safety requirements, including proper labelling of fire exits
• Price range to drive adoption to the largest population: Retail price must be competitive with an attractive ROI.
• Target retail price should be $99 per unit.
• Prototype testing ready by end of the year 2015.
